
Product Description
Copper clad aluminum wire is manufactured using cladding and welding technology, where high-quality copper is concentrically clad on the outer surface of an aluminum rod or steel wire core. A strong metallurgical bond is formed between the copper layer and the core at the atomic level, integrating the two different metal materials into a single whole. This allows the drawing and annealing processes to be carried out like those for a single metal wire, with the volume ratio of the copper layer remaining relatively constant as the copper-aluminum proportion is adjusted.

Product Features Analysis:
1. DC Resistivity: The DC resistivity of copper clad aluminum wire is approximately 1.5 times that of copper wire (for the same nominal value), while its weight is about half that of copper wire.
2. Using copper clad aluminum conductors can maintain compliance with long-standing habits in wire and cable product selection, design, and installation for many years. Cable terminals can also be crimped and soldered.

5. Good Weldability: Since copper clad aluminum wire has a concentric copper layer on its surface, it has the same weldability as copper wire, facilitating production.
